International coaches flock back to compete for the Crown Jewels

UKTC XI sold out in a morning, underlining the strength of the tournament’s move to Manchester and the appetite for seeing UKTC back in its traditional January slot.

The Crown Jewels of British Blood Bowl remains firmly on the throne. Registration opened at ten o’clock, and by lunch time the tournament had hit capacity. That is a vote of confidence in Manchester - the tournament's new home, in the new TO, and in moving UKTC back to its traditional place in the Blood Bowl calendar.

International coaches return with a great spread of teams

Not only did UKTC hit capacity in no time, but the tweaks to the set-up have seen coaches from across Europe flock back to the tournament.

At first glance, UKTC XI looks set to welcome nine international teams to Manchester, with representation expected from across the UK, Austria, Germany, Lithuania, Malta, Spain and Switzerland.

Team Fantastic confirm defence of their UKTC title

The tenth edition of UKTC saw Team Fantastic survive a tough first-round draw against All the President’s Men before going on to take five wins on the bounce and secure the coveted title of UKTC Champions.

Team Fantastic wasted no time signing up this morning, with KFoged, team captain and designated adult, confirming they are ready to commit to the defence of their title at UKTC XI in Manchester.

A stacked field lines up for Manchester

Team Fantastic won’t have it all their own way. A stacked field is ready to compete hard, with some huge names in the mix.

All the President’s Men return, Tactics and Theatrics arrive after tearing up European team tournaments last year, and Pitch Invaders, Siggi and Jokaero’s Swiss posse are among the many teams set to challenge. Add in teams from across the UK and Europe, and Manchester is shaping up to host a fiercely competitive UKTC XI.
