Ruleset Updated for UKTC XI
A final ruleset review for UKTC, but the question on everyone's lips - Night Goblins?
With the Crown Jewels of British Blood Bowl returning to its traditional January slot, the ruleset for UKTC XI is now final.
When we released the first version in March, the new Blood Bowl season was still in its infancy. We were happy with the framework, but were also clear that we would review the tiering once coaches had spent some time putting the new rosters on the pitch. Several months later, we now have tournament results, roster building and practical experience to draw on, giving us a much better picture of where each race sits.
Same framework, with updated tiers
The fundamental approach has not changed. UKTC XI will continue to use the matrix introduced earlier this year, combining Team Gold and Skill Gold rather than placing every race into a traditional flat tier.
What has changed is where a number of races sit within that matrix. We have reviewed each roster individually, looking not only at results but at what coaches can realistically build with the resources available. Some races remain unchanged, while others have moved in Team Gold, Skill Gold or both.
The aim remains to offer a wide range of attractive choices. The stronger races should have what they need to build good tournament teams without deliberately being held back, while moving further through the tiers should open up more interesting ways to build some of the less naturally powerful rosters. Hopefully the difficult part when assembling your four-coach squad is deciding which of the many good options to leave at home.
The Skill Gold bands have also been refined to 120 / 140 / 160 / 180 / 200. Tier 3 teams can make one stack, with two stacks available to Tiers 4 and 5, while Tier 5 retains access to a single stat increase. As before, stacks may only contain primary skills and star players will not be available at UKTC.

Night Goblins: To be or not to be, that is the question
Games Workshop have just released the latest Blood Bowl team - Night Goblins. I’m sure there will be a few of you itching to play them as soon as possible. If Games Workshop release the roster details before 1st November then they will be tiered and included for play at UTCK XI
TourPlay Rosters
With the ruleset now final, attention can turn to building your team. Roster submission will open on TourPlay on Monday 12 October and close on Sunday 6 December, giving everyone plenty of time to experiment before committing to a final build.
Coach Registration
Please make sure that every member of your squad has completed their coach registration form by 1 November please.
